About the Author

Aysha Jonas is a Utah-born author with a lifelong love for mystery and adventure. Her debut middle-grade novel, The Mother Diamond: A Fraidy Cat and Smarty Pants Adventure, was inspired by bedtime stories her grandpa used to tell about two curious characters: Fraidy Cat and Smarty Pants. Though the details of those tales faded with time, the magic of storytelling and the special bond they created stayed with her, eventually sparking her imagination to craft new adventures of her own.

Before stepping into the world of writing, Aysha spent eight years teaching high school dance and continues to coach cheerleading, a role that fuels her passion for creativity, teamwork, and helping young people find confidence in themselves. When she’s not writing or working with students, Aysha loves traveling with her husband and four children, discovering new places, and creating lasting memories. And when she gets a quiet moment to herself, you’ll often find her channeling her inner Nancy Drew, happily solving mysteries from behind her computer screen.
